Vortran Laser Technology, Inc. (VLT) is a Sacramento, California based laser development and manufacturing facility. The senior R&D staff at Vortran has a combined experience of over 78 years in developing photonics products. High-end instrumentation grade laser diode modules and photonics based systems for laboratory and OEM instrumentation use are the specialty of VLT.
Research and Development along with Product Development are of paramount importance to VLT. This concept is important such that VLT is able to offer some of the finest performing lasers in the industry. The R&D team has spent great efforts to design the Stradus™ line of lasers so that the VLT lasers perform better in areas such as long-term power stability, pointing stability, beam quality, and ease of use.
Vortran’s facility in Sacramento is a modern facility that affords the R&D and manufacturing teams the luxury of an efficient layout complete with the latest test equipment and tools.

A new optics laboratory, fully equipped and staffed manufacturing area, along with engineering laboratories makes new product development and manufacturing a breeze. The layout of the facility has been enhanced to accommodate future growth and higher manufacturing throughput as well as service. The executive management team of Vortran has made a commitment to remain in the Sacramento area for all phases of their operation - customers should have no fear that any of the operations would end up being relocated off-shore. Vortran is proud of their “Made in the USA” heritage.
